We begin by disassembling your pool table with precision and care. Then during transport, our enclosed van gives you peace of mind knowing that we your table is protected, rain or shine.

Our van's custom interior secures your pool table tightly in place from start to finish. We pay close attention to ensure the finish is protected, and wrap table pieces in blankets.

At your table’s new location, we discuss your placement options with you until you are satisfied. Then we level the table in stages from the ground up, starting with the frame. We take our time. Knowing how to make 3 pieces of slate play like a single piece is what separates the skilled professional pool table installer from the amateur, and it is time consuming to learn how to do. At Temecula Valley Billiards, we have been practicing for 20 years!

We use genuine beeswax to seal the seams between each piece of slate. Over the years, we have developed a resin/wax blend that we mix ourselves, which balances the flexibility of wax with the hardness of resin. This creates a glass-like surface over the seams ensuring you will feel no transition whatsoever between the two pieces.

We must secure the slate pieces firmly, and in one flat plane. Any movement of the slates can break the seam line seal and create a slate ridge which can be very easily detected through your felt and affect your game play. Some well-built tables make this job easier than others, but all tables put up a fight. Knowing how to adjust each table to best support the slate alignment is a skill that only comes with experience.
